Paperwork & Process
A member of our team will discuss paperwork and go over the euthanasia process with you. It is our goal to be always transparent with you and we will never try to rush you through this process. We care a lot about your pet and will do our best to accommodate you and your pet’s needs through this difficult time.
Ensuring Your Pet’s Comfort
Your pet will receive a sedative to help decrease any feelings of stress or discomfort they may experience. They will simply know that they are surrounded by people who love and care for them before taking a peaceful nap. The sedation usually takes 10-15 minutes to become effective and will put your pet into a deep sleep.
Saying Goodbye & Remembering Your Pet
We will place an IV catheter and once you are ready, we will administer the euthanasia injection. Our team will explain each task as we perform it and always check in with you to make sure you are ready to move forward. Please know that you may spend as much time as you’d like with your pet before and after the procedure. We know how difficult it is to lose a beloved companion, and we strive to make this as easy as possible given the circumstances. When you leave the room, we ask that you turn off the lights which indicates to our team we can re-enter the room and respectfully cover your pet with a soft blanket. We have several options available to remember your pet and are happy to discuss them with you at your convenience.
